17 -- REFURBISHMENT OF INTERMEDIATE TROUGH COVERS, P/N 625584-1 SOL N68335-99-Q-0293 DUE 082699 POC Barbara J. Petrzilka, Contracting Officer, (732) 323-2067 FAX (732) 323-4822 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to procure the refurbishment of four (4) each Intermediate Trough Covers, P/N 625584-1. The Trough Covers requiring refurbishment will be provided as Government Furnished Material (GFM). Refurbishment shall be in accordance with NAWCADLKE-MISC-48J100-0045, "Technical Specification for the Refurbishment of Catapult Trough Covers" dated 25 November 1998. Special inspections, procedures and close tolerances apply. Magnetic Particle, Dye penetrant and ultrasonic inspections apply. Inconel 625 clad welding applies. Complete requirements are detailed within the specification. Delivery of refurbished trough covers shall be no later than 01 December 1999. In order to meet the delivery schedule, it is anticipated that two awards for two (2) each refurbished trough covers may be necessary. Award shall be made to the lowest priced responsible offeror(s) capable of complying with the specifications. Pre-award surveys may be conducted on potential awardees. Note that two awards may not be made if the Contracting Officer cannot determine that the price is fair and reasonable for both potential awardees.
