The Government intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 143 each and the maximum quantity is 629. Applicable to CH-47 Turbine Engine. FOB Origin to Texarkana, TX. Required delivery is 49 each by 120 days after contract award, with subsequent monthly deliveries of 47 each. This procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved sources are: Allied Signal, Phoenix, AZ and Pall Aeropower Corporation, Clearwater, FL. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitaion IAW the instructions contained in section L of the solicitation.
