The Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) Acquisition Center and PM Combat Identification (PM CI) are seeking sources for a 38 GHz millimeter wave, low probability of detection, low probability of interception, question and answer, Battlefield Combat Identification System (BCIS) for ground-to-ground and air-to-ground military platforms. Proposed systems must address inter-operability with the current BCIS design developed under CECOM contract DAAB07-93-C-K011 with TRW, Inc., Electronics Systems and Technology Division, Space and Electronics Group, Redondo Beach, California. This is a market survey requesting information only. Results from this market survey will be used to determine available sources. A Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) solicitation will be synopsized IAW FAR Part 5 at a later date and will be issued on a sole source basis. This survey is also issued IAW the requirements of FAR Part 10 to determine the applicability of FAR Part 12, "Acquisition of Commercial Items."
