The U.S. Department of State (DOS) intends to negotiate a sole source modification to Contract No. AC95OC1002 in accordance with FAR 6.302 with Pinkerton Computer Consultants, Inc., 1900 N. Beauregard St., Suite 200, Alexandria, VA 22311-1722, to extend the period of the contract by an additional fifteen (15) months. The purpose of the extension modification is due to the merger of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (ACDA) into the U.S. Department of State. It has been determine that the need for continued computer operationals management support services are needed through Fiscal Year 2001. Pinkerton's analytical and subsequent maintenance of the ACDA/DOS system makes them uniquely qualified to provide these services. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
