Kegler, Purchasing Agent, (770) 488-2639 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is soliciting quotations for translation services to translate trainer and participant manuals from English into Spanish. These services will include translating, coordinating, proofreading and editing, and assisting typesetter. The vendor will be required to translate a total of 81,434 words; provide 220.3 hours of proofreading and editing; and finally, the vendor will be required to provide appropriately marked originals through cutting and pasting to assist in typesetting. The vendor shall possess knowledge about medical terminology as well as be a specialist in translation of training materials into generic Spanish. All work and delivery of a final product to CDC must be accomplished by close of business, October 15, 1999. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized and written quotation are being solicited to reach this office on or before August 11, 1999. The award will be based on vendor past performance and best value, under SIC code 8733 with size standard of $5 million average annual receipts for the three previous fiscal years.
