NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO UPGRADE EDWARDS SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY FIRE & INTRUSION ALARMS TO EDWARDS FIREWORKS GRAPHICS NETWORK SYSTEM Under authority of FAR 6.302-1, the National Park Service in Scranton, PA intends to enter into a contract with Eastern Time, Inc. on a sole source non-competitive basis for upgrading the existing Edwards System Technology Fire and Security system. This contract is being issued to upgrade existing Edwards Systems to the Edwards Fireworks Graphics Network. The Fireworks Graphics system will continue to work with existing equipment in all park buildings. Eastern Time, Inc. is the only known vendor legally approved to represent Edwards Technology Systems. The Edwards system is the only one that meets design criteria for the unique and critical need of the National Park Service at Steamtown. Therefore, in accordance with authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, the government intends to enter into this contract with Eastern Time, Inc. within (15) days after the publication of this notice. A determination not to open the requirement to competition based on responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the agency.
