is a synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance
with (IAW) the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: a
written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS
SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The solicitation will be issued on
the world-wide-web using Electronic Posting System (EPS) and the
Commerce Business Daily (CBD). ( ii ) Solicitation F44600-99-T0555 is
issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition
Procedures under the test program for certain commercial items found at
FAR 13.5. ( iii ) The solicitation document incorporates provisions and
clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAR)
97-11 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. It is the contractor_s
responsibility to be familiar with all applicable clauses and
provisions. (iv) The 1st Contracting Squadron requests responses from
qualified sources capable of providing Air Compressor capable of
producing, at a minimum, 1200 PSIG at a flow rate of 30 SCFM. The
compressor should include the following features: Motor 25hp or
greater, 460v/3 phase/60hz _Inlet filter-Water cooled intercoolers and
after coolers-Interstage and final stage condensate
separators-Interstage and final stage safety relief valves-V-belt drive
with safety guard-Discharge check valve-Interstage and final stage air
pressure gauges-Oil pressure gauge-Hour meter-Emergency stop
button-Power-on switch with indicator lamp-Automatic start/stop air
pressure switch with indicator lamp-Low oil pressure switch with
warning lamp-High temperature switch with warning lamp-Low water flow
switch with warning lamp-Automatic condensate drain system-Magnetic
starter and control system-Water control shutoff valve-Thermostatic
control valve-Two dial thermometers-Water pressure gauge; Will require
wiring to existing electrical disconnect box and connection to an
existing cascade airline system; Air storage system capable of
maintaining at least 1200 PSIG and 30 SCFM at the termination point of
the cascade air system is required. This storage system should include
a high-pressure air regulator and gauge. Storage rack and connection to
the air system is required. (v) Delivery: Date of delivery will be 30
days after receipt of order, an earlier delivery date is desired. Place
of delivery and Acceptance for providing the compressor will be 581
Worley Road Langley AFB, VA 23665. Responsibility and Inspection:
Unless otherwise specified in the purchase order, the supplier is
responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and
Quality Control. (vi) The following FAR provisions and clauses are
applicable to this procurement: 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors-Commercial Items (JUN 1999) is hereby incorporated by
reference. (vii) Solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation
Commercial Items (JAN 1999) is hereby incorporated by reference. (viii)
Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of the provision at
52.212-3, Deviation Offeror Representations and Certificates Commercial
Items (JUN 1999) and 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and
Certifications Commercial Items (NOV 1995) with its offer. Contact our

Allocations Systems (DPAS) assigned rating for this procurement is C9E.
( xiii) There are no applicable Commerce Business Daily numbered notes.
(xiv) Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable,
responsible, responsive offeror who demonstrates compliance with the
requirements of this solicitation and all referenced clauses. Offerors
shall include both unit price and total price with their quote. (xv)
