(313)226-6431 The Detroit District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
is seeking sources for possible future acquisition of a turnkey
"shallow water" multi-beam sounding system that can locate areas above
project depth in "rock cut" shipping channels in the District.
Interested sources are invited to provide technical literature and
brochures describing their systems' capabilities in nominal ten to
fifty foot depths. Frequency, beam width, sounding rates, supporting
software, and any other technical data needed to fully understand the
capabilities of the system should be included. Additional information
on current system installations and uses in North America including a
technical point of contact is also requested. This is a market survey
requesting information only. No solicitation will be issued against
this notice. If there is any resultant solicitation, it will be
publicized in accordance with FAR Parts 5 and 12, Acquisition of
Commercial Items. Responses are only being sought from sources with
existing hardware that is off the shelf commercial items. Interested
sources with the above experience should provide written documentation
