(804) 675-5588 The VA Medical Center, (652/90C), 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249 intends to negotiate a contract for ambulance services with Richmond Ambulance Authority, 2400 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23220, on a SOLE SOURCE basis. This is a commercial item service procurement under the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2) and the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The contract will be for a base year, with one renewal option of one year. Richmond Ambulance Authority is the sole company granted authority to provide emergency medical service within the City of Richmond, pursuant to the Code of the City of Richmond [Ord. No. 90-45-68 (11-59)]. The SIC Code is 4119 and the Size Standard is $5.0 million. Firms that recognize and can provide this service pursuant to the Code of the City of Richmond [Ord. No. 90-45-68 (11-59)], may identify themselves and provide the supporting documentation demonstrating that they are authorized to operate and are able to provide emergency medical services within the city of Richmond, Virginia.
