This project includes drilling, casing, grouting, and developing of three water wells. The Big Trees Campground well is a Base Bid Item. The Bitterbrush and the Saddlebag Lake Campground wells are optional bid items. The estimated range is $25,000 to $100,000. There will be no pre-bid meeting/tour, however contractors may visit the site(s) at any time; directions are as follows: There are three project sites: Two project sites are located in the Bishop Creek Canyon with one located approximately 1 mile below plant 2 in the proposed Bitterbrush Campground and the other located 1 1/2 miles above plant 2 in the existing Big Trees Campground. To reach the project sites turn west on state HWY 168 in the center of Bishop, CA and proceed approximately 14 miles to the project sites. The third project site is located in Saddlebag Lake Campground. To reach the site turn west on state HWY 120 at Lee Vining, CA and proceed approximately 10 miles to the Saddlebag Lake road and turn north and proceed for appoximately 4 miles to the Saddlebag Lake Campground. The exact locations within the campgrounds for the drilling will be staked by the government prior to the drilling.
