Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes require the construction of
road improvements for the Turtle Lake, Dupuis, Haack roads construction
project, located near Polson, Montana in Lake County. Acquisition will
be by a sealed bidding procurement method; qualifications for award on
contracts under $3,000,000 bid amount will be subject to Indian
Preference criteria contained in the solicitation. In general, the
project entails rehabilitating 2.6 miles of existing gravel roads with
asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and associated features.
The project includes: removal of existing facilities and structures;
clearing and grubbing of vegetation within the roadway; constructing
concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, and drive pads; constructing
roadway surface drainage inlets and culverts; excavating roadway
subgrade; furnishing and placing aggregate base and asphalt pavement;
constructing fence along rights-of-way; establishing turf; and
