The Army requires a contract in connection with Phase I of Airfield Repair and Upgrade at Hunter AAF, GA. The work includes, but is not necessarily restricted to, the following: remove and replace concrete slabs to include demolition, disposal, crushing of concrete, hauling, backfilling, compaction, and placing concrete; set up a rock crusher capable of producing 1 1/2 inch minus product; remove existing runway, taxiway, approach, helipad, and VASI lights; replace and rewire airfield lighting to include taxiway lights and signs, runway, approach, threshold, helipad, and VASI lighting systems; replace airfield navigational system; replace transmitter tower; install flood lights at DAACG Facility and Sabre Hall. Contractors should be aware that access to and from the airfield will be strictly controlled. Performance is expected to be completed within 360 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This project is solicited on an unrestricted basis under SIC 1731. Small business size standard for this SIC is $7.0M. Funds are not currently available and no contract shall be awarded until such time as appropriated funds from which contract award can be made become available.
