The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Division intends to award a contract on a sole source basis for a Complete Splash Proof Sea Scan Personal Computer (PC) with Digital Global Positioning System (DGPS). The suitcase sized computer with color flat screen display is designed for use in open boats in spray or rain. The 10-35VDC systems includes one 600 MHZ Tow Fish, 100 Meter and 300 Meter Tow Cables, Depressor Vane, Operator Manual, five (5) hours of factory training, shipping case and one year warranty as manufactured by Marine Sonic Technology, Ltd. Currently, Marine Sonic Technology Ltd. holds two (2) U. S. patents which cover the technology incorporated in the Sea Scan PC System. All sonar power is derived from the computer motherboard. Award is to be made under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
