Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Johnson Controls, Inc., 8918 Beckett Road, West Chester, OH 45069, for a Metasys Operator Workstation and Metasys Network Control Module to provide monitoring/alarm and QA records/report for low temperature equipment used in research. The contractor shall provide and program a new Metasys Operator workstation and Metasys Network control Module that will be dedicated to the monitoring and alarming of 51 devices (freezers, incubators and refrigerators); provide the resistive temperature sensing devices/transmitters; provide all Metasys hardware, software, programming, and engineering to incorporate the 51 program points into the Metasys Facilities Management system for monitoring and alarms; reprogram the freezers currently being monitored at the Boiler Room Operator Workstation to the new Metasys and Operator Workstation; and provide one customized report program to incorporate existing freezers and the 51 new program points into a single report program. EPA believes that Johnson Controls, Inc. is the only source in order to maintain compatibility and functioning of the system. This request for quotation will be carried out under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
