The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) has a requirement for a Contractor to relocate a Nortel MSL-100 Remote Switching Center between buildings approximately one mile apart and integrate it with a HOST MSL-100 and be operational by 28 February 2000. The requirement includes options to provide software upgrades, power plant upgrades, anti-static bags and training. The contract term will be from date of award through completion of work no later than 28 February 2000. DITCO will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 10 August 1999. A firm fixed priced contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible technically acceptable offeror presenting the lowest price over the life of the contract. DUE TO THE EXISTING WARRANTY OF THE NORTEL EQUIPMENT, THIS REQUIREMENT MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED BY A COMPANY CERTIFIED TO WORK WITH NORTEL PRODUCTS. The RFP will be posted on or about 10 August 1999 on the World Wide Web at http://www.ditco.disa.mil under "Contracting Opportunities" under "Information Technology RFP/RFQ/RFI" of the DITCO Homepage. It is impracticable to distribute the drawings under Appendix 3 to the Statement of Work electronically with the solicitation. These contract documents will be made available via regular mail upon request. The Government will schedule a site survey at 4500 East 5th Ave (Bldg: 6) and 3990 E. Broad St (Bldg: 23), Columbus, OH. Propospective offerors desiring to have representatives participate in the site survey shall provide registration information in writing to DITCO/DTS22, Attn: Mr. Terry L. Green, 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB, IL, 62225-5406 (RFP: DCA200-99-R-5023). Registrations may be mailed, faxed to (618) 229-9436 or e-mailed to greent@scott.disa.mil. Requests must be received no later than eight days from the date the RFP is released. Request for site survey reservations must provide the following information for each individual desiring to attend the site surveys: full name, social security number, company and position, security clearance, granting agency, date clearance granted, birth date, place of birth and citizenship.
