STATEMENT OF WORK TRAINING FOR INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE SANITARIANS SCOPE
OF WORK U.S. EPA Region VIII Objective: According to our Interagency
Agreement (IAG) with Indian Health Services (IHS), we are to provide
training to IHS sanitarians and other staff in order for IHS to better
support Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in its responsibility to
implement the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the National Primary
Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR). Major Contents of the Training:
Overview of the Safe Drinking Water Act The Total Coliform Rule The
Lead and Copper Rule The Ground Water Rule Monitoring Requirements for
Water Quality Parameters The Enhance Surface Water Treatment Rule
Corrosion Control Health Effects of Chemical Contaminants Sanitary
Surveys Enforcement Emergency Measures Record Keeping and Reporting The
Indian Health Services/Environmental Protection Agency/Interagency
Agreement. Reporting The contractor will prepare a brief report before
or at the end of the contract year, which summarizes the training, the
number of people who attended the classroom training, and the
evaluation of the training classes by the trainees. The reports will be
submitted to the EPA Tribal Coordinator. Duration of Contract The
contract will be in place from the award date until approximately
September 30, 2000. Billing The contractor will submit the invoices to
EPA. The Qualified Quotations Must Include: (1) A statement of
qualifications which should be brief, but should include the resumes of
the staff who would be completing the SOW tasks. When listing these
qualifications, please identify staff experience in working with Public
Water Systems (PWS), either as a consultant or as a PWS operator.
Please also list all relevant degrees that the staff may have. This
requirement is being issued by the US EPA Region 8 Simplified
Acquisitions Team (formerly Small Purchases) and is governed by Federal
Acquisitions Regulations (FAR)Chapter 13. Quotations for this
requirement must be received by COB 8/13/99 either by fax to Maureen
