W -- LEASE OF PAGERS SOL RFP 508-31-99 DUE 091399 POC Contact Point -- JEFF MILLER -- 404-728-7736 -- FAX 404-728-7758 VA Medical Center (Atlanta) has a requirement to lease five (5) different kinds of pagers, i.e., (23) nationwide pagers, (15) nationwide region alpha advisor pagers, (454) long range digital type pagers, (2) alpha advisor pagers (not nationwide) and (6) southeastern region pagers. Repair, maintenance and insurance of above mentioned pagers will be included. All contractors who want to participate in this procurment action will be required to attend a preproposal/site visit at VA Medical Center (Atlanta). VAMC Atlanta is experiencing what has been determined as "dead spots" or areas where personnel within the medical center can not be paged. Therefore, the contractor must provide coverage in these areas and "dead spots" must be totally eliminated within the Medical Center. All contractors will be required to perform a site survey of the VA Medical Center (Atlanta) and as part of their technical proposal submit their plan to identify dead spots and eliminate them entirely.
