Postal Service is soliciting proposals to construct a new Post Office in the town of Greece, NY, hereinafter referred to as Rochester, NY Greece/Charlotte Branch. Major work items include demolition, earthwork, site utilities and site improvements, paving, landscaping, and irrigation. Other work items include concrete, steel, roofing, sheet metal, masonry, partitions, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, painting, loading dock equipment, security systems, heating, plastics, electrical, mechanical, and other related work. The estimated cost of the work is between $4,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00, with completion within three hundred sixty (360) calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed offers will be received in this office prior to, but no later than, 4:00 p.m. on September 2, 1999. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of contract is made. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available o/a August 4, 1999 at a cost of $100.00 per set (non-refundable) from the Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Only certified checks or money orders will be accepted, made payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S. Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No. 082530-99-A-0167). Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and information regarding their availability may be obtained by contacting Catherine Delasco at (860) 285-7191.
