The Naval Air Systems Command is conducting full and open competition for the Depot Level Maintenance support fo 29 Navy and 23 Air Force C-9 aircraft. The anticipated solicitation will be for a seven year contract beginning 1 August 2000. The period of performance will be a two month base period plus six (6) one year options. The resultant contract will be a Fixed Price Requirements type contract with Cost Reimbursement provisions. The RFP was released in draft form in February 1999. Formal solicitation N00019-99-R-1169 inclusive of all attachments should be available mid August, except for the two attachments for the paint spec and the Government Furnished Material List. These attachments will be provided as hard copies. The two attachments must be requested by e-mail or letter. The Navy will only release the solicitation/RFP, including any subswquent amendments, over the Internet. TELEPHONE OR WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS/RFPS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED (with the exception of the above attachments and these are to be requested in writing or by e-mail). In addition, the Government is posting questions and answers in response to the draft solicitation. If there is any conflict between the responses and the final solicitation, the final solicitation will take precedence.
