The 15th Contracting Squadron at Hickam AFB, HI has the requirement to provide the base operating support functions for Johnston Atoll Air Force Base (name effective 1 Oct 99) located on Johnston Island about 715 miles SW of Honolulu, HI in the Johnston Atoll. This requirement will cover a wide range of functions required to provide complete base operating support to installation customers while focusing on cost effective, innovative methods of performing these services. The requirement includes the following major functions: Management; Medical Services; Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Services; Cashier Services; Food Services; Laundry Services; Service Call System; Utilities (to include but not be limited to: Plant Operation and Distribution for Electricity, Water and Sewer); Infrastructure Maintenance; Facility Maintenance; Self-Help Operation; Custodial Services; Refuse Collection; Architectural and Engineering Services; Property Management; Permanent Party Housing; Transient Lodging Services; Fireprotection Services; Disaster Preparedness and Contingency Operations, Planning and Training); Environmental Program; Occupational Safety and Health program; Supply Services; Air Terminal Operations; Airfield Operations; Passenger Travel Operations; Weather Services; Fuels Management; Security/Law Enforcement; Postal Services; Transportation Services; Port and Harbor Services; Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) Management; Communications and Electronic Services; Information Management; Indefinite Quantity (IQ) Work; and Mortuary Services. The basic period of performance will be from 1 Apr 00 through 30 Sep 00 with six one-year option periods and an award fee provision. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 8744, Base Maintenance with a size standard of $20M.
