NASA GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for Rehabilitation of Building C-15 at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: The replacement of personnel doors, frames and hardware, and associated incidental masonry work; installation of an exterior metal stair, concrete foundation and sidewalk; miscellaneous finish wood work; installation of insulated metal stud and gypsum wallboard partitions; installation of suspended acoustical tile ceiling system; repair of resilient flooring and installation of resilient stair treads; architectural painting; replacement of toilet partitions, toilet fixtures and accessories and incidental plumbing modifications; removal of existing steam unit heaters, piping and associated thermostats and wiring; installation of two (2) split system air-conditioning units and associated ductwork, controls, registers, diffusers and concrete pads; installation of steam heating coils in the air handler units; modifications to existing dry-pipe sprinkler system; modifications to existing fire alarm system including installation of new pull stations and upgrade of existing audio/visual alarms; installation of new electrical service panel; installation of new lighting; installation of new electrical feeders to sub-panels; and installation of new branch circuits to receptacles and lighting. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or may be required, all contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services, and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformity with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1542. The corresponding size standard is $17,000,000.00. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about August 24, 1999, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about September 22, 1999. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of 100.00.
