Work includes but is not limited to: the dismantling and legal removal of the 100,000 gallon riveted steel 4 column elevated water tank with a hemispherical bottom and conical roof at the VA Hudson Vally Health Care System, Castle Point Campus, Castle Point, NY. The tower was built in 1924 by Chicago Bridge & Iron Works. Tower height is approx. 84' to BCL and has a 28' 3" shell height. The diameter is approx. 21'. Work will also include the complete cleaning and repainting of the 300,000 gallon welded steel 5 column elevated water tank with torus bottom and ellipsoidal roof on the interior surfaces, and the complete cleaning and repainting of the exterior surfaces with containment. The tank was built in 1982 by Caldwell Tanks, Inc. and is 84' 6" to BCL and 115' 6" to TCL with a diameter of approximately 43'. This work will be done all in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000.
