The project consists Foundation/Basement Wall Repair for a Residence Building at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. This work includes but is not limited to earthwork to expose the existing foundation wall, replacement of the existing block foundation wall, installation of foundation wall moisture protection, installation of a footing drainage system (including footing drain, filter membrane, basement installed packaged sump pump unit, and discharge piping), backfilling with granular material, and surface grading for runoff diversion. The existing foundation is 8-inch block, 10-1/2 courses high surrounding a basement that contains heating, plumbing, and electrical services (approximately 8 courses are below grade). The existing foundation wall adjacent to the attached garage/living room shall remain in place. The perimeter length of the foundation wall scheduled for replacement is approximately 189 feet. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
