This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Any requests for solicitation packages will be considered nonresponsive. This request for quotation (RFQ), number 99X800560, is for the purchase, delivery, and installation of an Automated Storage / Picking System, manufactured by White Systems, Inc., and Versatile Warehouse Software, by Innovative Solutions, on a sole source basis from Storage and Distribution Systems, 16051 Comprint Circle, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Solicitation documents, provisions, and clauses herein are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 3569 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Contractor shall provide: 1) Automated One-Zone (2 carousels) Picking Operation, model #HP-50-Bottom Drive-10; 2) One Ergonomic Multi-Vex Picking Station, model #D004-005, which includes One "Below-Surface" Weight Register (weigh counting scale) and One Sort & Batch Station (sort & batch slots); 3) Light Trees for Picking Zone with Software, model #WIII-Light Tree-10; 4) Horizontal Light Bars for the Picking Zone with Software, model #SIII-Sort Bar-10; 5) Dismantle, Test, Modify, and Re-Install existing carousel; 6) Ergonomic Workstations for Assembly/Packing, model #D9009-007; 7) Pick to Light Software, model #V-Ware-TXp-4.0; 8) Multi-Level Pick Positioner, Buschman Electro-Hydraulic Lift, model #B-108-A; 9) Inside Delivery; 10) Rigging and Installation. All line items are to be delivered to the Personal Property Facility, 16071 Industrial Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Delivery is required within 12 weeks from the date of issuance of a purchase order.
