NASA/JSC plans to issue an order for IN200C-XL Pseudolite Generator Package (generators/programming/cables and communication support) for General Purpose Satellite (GPS) ground-space applications. The package is to support the Aeroscience & Flight Mechanics Division-Navigation Systems & Technology Lab's (AFMD-NSTL's)constellation of 6 Integrinautics pseudolites. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from the IntegriNautics Corp. (INC), 250 Cambridge Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94306. The GPS- pseudolite environment developed and deployed contractor's hardware/software. Based on previous university research & developments, INC's hardware/software tools/equipment are used in the on-going research and function of the existing GPS program. Therefore, in order to maintain consistency and continuity in the program's products, INC is the only responsible source and no other product will satisfy agency requirements. TheGovernment intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 7 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 7 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
