Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) plans to enter in a noncompetitive,
contract. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no
other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. It is the
Government's intent to acquire sole source from Science and Technology
Associates (STA), Incorporated the following services: Perform
technical assessments of liquid and solid propulsive divert and
attitude control systems (DACS) being developed within the Atmospheric
Interceptor Technology (AIT) Program. The contractor shall provide an
interim report following completion of the initial laboratory and
field measurements, and a final report following completion of the
contract. Travel requirements are anticipated to Huntsville, AL;
Tucson, AZ; Sacramento, CA; Elkton, MD; Edwards AFB, CA; and NAWC,
China Lake, CA. A firm-fixed price (FFP) contract is anticipated with
a period of performance NTE 30 Sep 99. The anticipated date of award is
12 Aug 99. All responsible sourcesmay submit an offer which will be
considered. See Note 22. However, this date is for planning purposes
