The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NAVSURFWARCENDIV), Crane, IN intends to procure engineering and technical services required to support the NAVSURFWARCENDIV Fallbrook Detachment. The Fallbrook Detachment is involved in ensuring the quality, safety and reliability of military assets such as ammunition, infantry weapons, rockets, missile systems, gun systems, vehicles, aircraft, and communication equipment. Services shall include such tasks as evaluation and preparation of test procedures; design of test systems; performing statistical analysis of tests, maintenance, and operation data; conducting analysis and evaluation utilizing techniques such as radiographic and chemical analysis, and non-destructive testing; designing and administering data acquisition and collection systems; preparation of operation and maintenance manuals; and maintaining test equipment. Work will be specified by individual delivery orders. The estimated level of effort is 1.19 million labor hours over the five-year period of performance. This is a follow-on contract to N00244-96-D-0046. It is anticipated that a two-year, indefinite delivery, requirements, cost-plus-fixed-fee type contract with three one-year options will be awarded.
