Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Office
of Resource Management, has a requirement for an individual to be a
project coordinator at the American Embassy in Mexico. These projects
are administered by the Narcotics Affairs Section (NAS) of the U.S.
Embassy. The incumbent shall assist the NAS managers in monitoring and
reporting on narcotics control projects in Mexico. This assignment is
for one year with the option to extend the term. PSCs are treated on
par with other USG employees. Minimum qualifications include: must be
a U.S. citizen, subject to State Department security clearance (top
secret level); bachelor's degree from an accredited educational
institution; preference will also be given to candidates who also
possess a master's degree in Foreign Affairs, international
Development, Public Administration, Latin American Studies, or related
fields; ten years relevant overseas work experience, especially in the
areas of project implementation, evaluation, technical advice,and
liaison activities; fluency in spoken and written spanish (minimum FSI
level 3/3 preferred) and physically qualified to live in Mexico City.
A SF-171 is required to apply. The GS grade equivalent is GS-13. This
requirement is for individuals only. A PSC will not be awarded to a
