S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH THE MONTEREY BAY MARINE SANCTUARY FOUNDATION. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS). Purpose of contract is to enter into a contract with the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary Foundation (MBMSF) to provide increase community education/outreach, and research on MBNMS issues. The MBNMS signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Ocean Service and has already completed several educational projects successfully for the MBNMS. Work under proposed contract relates to work already completed by MBMSF. Any other source would require additional refamiliarization with MBNMS objectives, projects, and goals, resulting in additional cost to the Government.
