This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F65501-99QP004 and it is a request for quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through 3 May 99. This solicitation is RESTRICTED to small business concerns. THIS IS A PLANNED PROCUREMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000. SUBMITTED QUOTES MUST BE VALID FOR 60 -- 90 DAYS. AWARD WILL NOT BE MADE UNTIL FUNDED. DESCRIPTION: Furnish all labor, equipment, tools, and transportation necessary to (1) Install and maintain automatic liquid proportioned pumps in kitchen areas to be listed. ( can receive copy of list via request) Provide equipment, materials, maintenance and monthly operational checks to ensure a system failure doesnot occur. (2) An automatic liquid proportioned pump will be installed at each location. Nineteen ounces of a chemical liquid will automatically be released daily into a floor sink or waste line. The dispenser will be replenished monthly between the first (1st) and the (5th) of each month. The materials needed to implement this procedure are as follows for each location: ProDrain Chief II Pump installation/maintenance, monthly follow-up visits, 24 hr. emergency service and 6 gallon container. (3.) Introduction of a chemical liquid into the waste line will dissolve the grease currently building. This will reduce maintenance costs by solubilizing the grease, clearing the pipes all the way out to the district_s wastewater treatment facility. Without the grease blocking the system, the grease trap is also freed, which allows an uninterrupted flow. This prevents the necessity of having lines pumped or snaked and the rank orders which result from grease clogged pipes. Under NO circumstances shall the chemical be abiological product. This is to be quoted as one (1) line item. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE WILL BE: 01 Oct. 1999 to 31 Sept. 2000. The Standard Industry Code (SIC) is 7349. FOB Destination is requested.
