Construct potable water, wastewater and electrical system improvements at Cagle Recreation Area. The project is located on the Sam Houston National Forest, Walker County, Texas, on the shoreline of Lake Conroe reservoir just south of FM 1375, National Forests and Grasslands in Texas. Work includes on-site sewerage facilities consisting of a 4,000 gallon packaged extended aeration sewage treatment plant, a 90 gallon per minute lift station with duplex submersible effluent pumps, approximately 425 meters of PVC force main, approximately 1100 meters of low pressure dosing lines, and approximately 30 meters of gravity sewer for connecting to the existing collection system. Water system improvements include making numerous connections to the existing system, installing PVC water pipe in sizes ranging from 1" to 3", installing hydrants at 48 recreation vehicle (RV) sites and connecting three buildings to the water system. Also included is cleaning and painting the interior and exterior of the 25,000 gallon elevated steel potable water storage tank and replacing the existing 24" diameter roof hatch with a 30" diameter hatch. Electrical improvements including installing 10 panels, 3050 meters of copper electrical conductors in sizes ranging from #6 to #1/0 in PVC conduit from panels to 48 RV sites, 3 buildings and the wastewater treatment site. Also included is installing approximately 575 meters of 2 1/2" PVC conduit with pull rope for use by the power company. Water and electrical lines are installed in the same trench as much as possible. A firm fixed price contract will be issued. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
