DESC: Project FGWB 98-0063, Repair Floor Drains and Overhead Doors, Fire Station, Dobbins ARB, GA. Provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision to complete the plans and specifications for repair of floor drains and overhead doors, fire station, for Project FGWB 98-0063. Work includes, but is not limited to, restoration of abandoned trench floor drains and an upgrade to the existing overhead door control system. The work includes demolition of existing 6" drain pipe, and installation of new 4" drain pipe. New 4" drain pipe will be tied to the existing storm drain system. The work also includes the design and installation of a new central over-head door control system capable of simultaneously opening all eight overhead crash doors from a central location. An additional remote open control will be installed for the rescue door. A new overhead door control panel will be fabricated and installed in an existing alarm console. The period of performance is 60 calendar days to include material approval, acquisition, transportation and installation. The contract will be firm fixed price. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC Code is 1542. Size standard is $17,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 03 August 1999 with quotes due on or about 22 September 1999. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may request a solicitation package by written request. All request shall include address (including street address), point of contact, telephone number, and solicitation number. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 22 August 1999 and will be provided to all interested responsible firms who respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. Requests for plans and specifications received after the 15th day will be honored only until supplies are exhausted. Faxed requests will not be permitted. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO MAKE PAYMENTS UNDER A CONTRACT.
