This effort is for the remanufacturing of 298 AH-64D Apache Longbow
aircraft to support the Department of the Army approved program for
AH-64D production. Thirty six (36) Apache Longbow training devices,
Life Cycle Contractor Support for fielded AH-64D aircraft and training
devices, related logistic support, technical services, systems project
managment, training, publications/electronic technical manuals,
technical data, and initial spares will also be included. The
government intends to price an option range of 90 to 120 AH-64D new
build/remanufactured aircraft for potential future customers such as
Foreign Military Sales and an option for an additional 62 US Government
remanufactured aircraft. The following enhancements will be priced as
options for incorporation in Lot 6 or subsequent lots: Installation of
Internal Auxiliary Fuel System A-Kit; Digital Map Incorporation;
Integration of TEDAC (ORT Conversion), Video Recorder, ATAS Capability
(SUE/SUL), Single point Data Download for LIMSS FCR BIT, APU Sand
Erosion Resistance Kit, RFI Passive Ranging, Suite of Integrated
Infrared Counter Measures (SIIRCM) A Kit; Mechanical Provisions for
Suite of Integrated Radio Frequency Counter Measures (SIRFC); "Fat Boy"
Strap Pack; LBHSTS Integration into aircraft BIT & IETMs; Develop
Battle Damage Assessment Repair; LIMSS/GCSS-A Interface; Wiring Diagram
Enhancements; Incorporation of AVIM Tasks; ABOB development and
production; Upgrade of TDS to Latest Configuration; TDS Remote After
Action Review Station; Revision & Maint of Full Training Courseware;
Eval of Training Maint/Operator problems; and IMI training operable for
CD Rom/DVD. This acquisition is intended to be a five year Multi Year
contract beginning with Lot 6. In the event Multi Year authority is not
received, the US Army intends to acquire 60 AH-64D Apache Longbow
Aircraft and 3 Training Devices as a single year for Lot 6. This action
will use streamlined acquisition procedures and Alpha contracting
techniques, therefore no solicitation will be issued for this effort.
This procurement is restricted to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company,
doing business as McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, a wholly owned
subsidiary of The Boeing Company, Mesa, Arizona. See Numbered Note 22.
