Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego has a requirement for publication and distribution of an Unofficial Installation Guide and Base Maps Civilian Enterprise (CE) U.S. Navy Southwest Region for military bases in and around San Diego, CA. entitled, "Assignment San Diego". All proceeds from the sale of advertisements shall belong to the publisher, who shall look exclusively to such advertising for all publishing costs and profits, and shall constitute consideration. The contract shall be for a base 1-year period and provides for four (4) additional 1-year option periods for a total not to exceed five (5) years. It must be noted that CE contracts are not subject to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), since they are based on an exception to the Government Printing and Binding Regulations published by the Congressional Joint Committee on Printing.
