The work involves underwater investigation of 10 shoal locations in the 35 foot and 45 foot Federal Navigation Channels in Portland Harbor, Portland, Maine. Nine of the ten locations were classified as "Hard digging" during maintenance dredging operations. The Corps of Engineers hydrographic survey identified the other location. The intent of this contract is to identify the nature of the channel bottom and the extent of the shoal at each of the locations. The proposed work includes performing an underwater video and obtaining a representative sample at each of the 10 locations. Estimated cost of the project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.
