THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS FOR THIS PROJECT. On or about 8/6/99, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of New Construction Owned at STILLWATER MN 55082-9998. Proposals will be opened on 9/3/99 at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $3,100,000.00 and $3,400,000.00. Description of the work is the project consists of construction of a new Postal Carrier Annex of approximately 20,000 square feet, with an enclosed Carrier Garage of approximately 21,000 square feet. The site comprises Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, Kern 2nd Addition, in the city of Oak Park Heights, MN. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 320 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
