shall provide all, labor, supervision, management, transportation,
tools, materials, and equipment, (unless identified as Government
Furnished Property)necessary to perform lead based paint removal and
asbestos abatement and disposal. Performance includes handling of
asbestos and lead based paint during repair, construction and
demolition. The contractor is responsible for all procedures and
equipment required to protect workers and occupants from contact with
lead-based paint dust, material and debris, and asbestos fibers. Work
includes set-up and tear down of control areas. Contract is for a base
period covering 01 October 1999 -- 30 September 2000, plus two (2)
consecutive twelve month period that the Government may exercise. A
contract awarded as a result of this soliciation will contain the
"Option to Extend Services" clause which will allow the Government to
extend the contract up to six (6) months within the limits and at the
rates specified in the contract. This requirement is unrestricted. The
magnitude of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All
responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the
