The work of this project consists of the general reconstruction and restoration of the interior areas, surfaces and utilities of the Hagmaier House, a 2800 square foot historic 2-story ranch house located at Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, CA. This project is the final phase of restoration work on this structure needed after extensive fire damage. The base bid requirement will consist of interior demolition work; rough carpentry; rough installation of HVAC; rough installation of plumbing and electrical and the installation of a fire sprinkler system. The project will include two option items which will entail the finish carpentry, plumbing and electrical work and the installation of all finish hardware; miscellaneous painting; refinishing of wood floor and stairs; and the installation of resilient flooring and carpeting. It is the intention of the government to exercise the options within a period of six months after award, subject to the availability of funding. The total project is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The base bid shall be completed within 90 days after a Notice to Proceed. The solicitation response date is approximate and will be 30 days after issuance of the formal Request for Proposal. Award will be based on the greatest value to the government after considering costs and factors other than cost as set forth in the solicitation.
