Plotkin, AIR-2.4.2.5.3, (301)757-6970 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure on a sole source basis from Martin-Baker Aircraft (MBA) Company, LTD of Higher Denham, Middlesex, England, the Fiscal Year 2000 requirement for Naval Aircrew Common Ejection Seats (NACES) and related support requirements. For Fiscal Year 2000, the Navy plans to procure approximately 87 NACES for the Navy's F/A-18 and T-45 aircraft plus associated spare and repair parts, engineering, logistic support and technical data. MBA is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the NACES and is the only known source possessing the requisite experience, production capability and technical expertise capable of supporting fleet requirements within the limited time constraints of the Navy.
