dpeifer@ddc.dla.mil. The Defense Distribution Depot Warner Robins
(DDWG) located at the Robins Air Force Base in Georgia has a
requirement for a contractor to provide and install a box making
machine. The following listed salient characteristics are provided for
the box making machine. This is not a complete list of the
characteristics. Additional salient characteristics will be identified
in the solicitation package. The machine must be designed to handle
single, double and triple wall corrugated fiber board configurations up
to a combined burst (Mullen) test of 375#. The machine must have a
programmable sequence control system to allow data entry time of less
than 30 seconds (for box styles and length, width and height). The
machine's main voltage must be 208 AC volts 3 phase. The machine must
be able to handle fiberboard as follows: Blank Length -- maximum
standard 120" and minimum 16"; Blank Width -- maximum 84" and minimum
8"; Box Length -- maximum 100" and minimum 4"; Box Width -- maximum 47"
and minimum 4"; and Box Depth -- maximum 79" and minimum 4-7/8". The
machine must not exceed the following dimensions: Length -standard
runoff 16'; Width -- 12.8'; Height -- 5.5' and Feed Table Height --
40". The machine must have a 1200# board capacity to increase throat
capacity to 5/8" thickness and 3/8" notching knives and 3/16" creaser
bar in the 1200# configuration. Contractor shall also disassemble an
existing Government owned Rite Size Model BMC 55-E, Serial Number 812-E
located at DDWG, transport and reinstall this machine at the Defense
Distribution Depot Albany located at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in
Albany, GA. This machine is not under warranty. The Government requires
all work to be completed within 180 days following the date of contract
award. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May
31, 1998, your company must be registered in the DoD Central
