This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is FA4416-99R0039 and is a request for quote (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. Delivery shall be FOB destination to Andrews AFB MD. Quotations to this solicitation must be received by 7 Sep 99 at 4:00 p.m EST. Offerors must comply with all instructions in FAR 52.212-1 with submittal of their offer and provide all information required along with quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK: CLIN 0001: Carbon Monoxide Detectors, quantity of 4,044 ea., Model SAS 6-96D (Safe Air Sentry), Color White, Manufacturer Aim Safety. Must meet international approval service IAS 6-96 requirement for residental carbon monoxide detectors. Due to Air Force residential safety requirements, there will be no substitute. Features: Digital read out display, self powered, no plug-ins, no cord, no battery replacement required, automatic daily self-testing, stores historic information. Includes three-year full replacement warranty. CLIN 0002: Installation. Install two detectors in each residence for a total of 2,022 residences located on Andrews AFB and Brandywine Maryland. Installation will be scheduled with the housing representative named on award between 0800 and 1700, Monday through Friday, government holidays excluded. A 30 day make-up period will be included for missed and broken appointments. Individual housing addresses will be given to successful offeror. A one-year warranty for parts and labor for installation shall be included. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 120 days (includes 30 day make-up period) Site visit not required.
