Lumonics, ScanArray 5000 Standard Biochip Scanning System (100-260V) or
an equal product. The specifications as a minimum are: scanner with
GheNe (543nm), RheNe (633 nm), YheNe (594nm) internal and Argon (488nm)
external lasers, 10 emission filters (508nm, 522nm, 530nm, 570nm,
578nm, 592nm, 614nm, 660nm, 670nm, 694nm), low depth of focus confocal
laser scanning for superior artifact and dust rejection (25 micron),
sensitivity to greater than 0.1 flluor/micron2, up to 10 installable
emission channels, thirteen different filters available,
multi-resolution scanning capability at 5, 10, 20, 30, and 50 microns
to easily select regions of interest, single-pass 22 x 73mm scanning
field of view for rapidly scanning and displaying large arrays, laser
stand-by and sleep modes, bi-directional linear translation slide
positioning, automatic laser monitoring, calibration, and adjustment
for instrument normalization, automatic dynamic range and channel
balancing, 16-bit data for linear five-order dynamic range and the most
accurate quanitation, graphical acquisition software for Windown NT
platform, small bench top design bar code reader, software, network
communication cable, 1-year warranty, instruction manual and power
