Comprehensive Preventative Maintenance for RTAS 10000 Digital Clinical
Voice Information System and MDXpress (or replacement) Medical
Transcription System located at Wilford Hall Medical Center (WHMC),
Lackland AFB Texas. The Contractor will provide all 1abor, parts,
tools, software, software upgrades, software enhancements, software
modifications, equipment, transportation, training, documentation, and
personnel necessary to ensure continual operation of the hospital
dictation and transcription system. Additionally, the contractor will
provide scheduled preventive maintenance inspections (PMI's) and any
necessary remedial maintenance for all Government equipment pertaining
to the RTAS 10000 Clinical Voice Information System, the MDXpress (or
replacement) Medical Transcription System, all ancillary modules, and
accessories. The Contractor will ensure Y2K compliance as defined in
the Statement Of Need (SON) for all hardware and software components of
the RTAS 10000 System and MDXpress (or replacement) System. The
Contractor can either make the necessary modifications to MDXpress for
Y2K compliance or replace MDXpress with a new Medical Transcription
System (MTS) (following the SON) that is Y2K compliant. The contractor
must provide written evidence that the company is an authorized repair
agent or has entered an alliance with the manufacturer_s of the
dictation and transcription equipment to be serviced. All support
provided by the Contractor will be 24 hours per day, 7 days per week,
including holidays. Solicitation F41636-99-R0211 will be electronically
posted on the Internet approximately 19 August 1999 using the
commercial format (FAR Part 12). A Firm-Fixed Priced contract is
contemplated with a performance period of 1 October 99 through 30
September 2000 with four one year options. Standard Industrial
Classification Code (SIC) 7378 applies. Size standard is $18 million.
All proposers are cautioned that if selected for award they must be
registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) program.The
CCR can be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at
http://www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil/. Confirmation of CCR registration must be
confirmed before award can be made. Offerors who do not have access to
the Internet must request solicitation documents in writing, or by fax.
No telephone request will be accepted. All responsible sources may
