Term of contract will be for period 9/99 -- 8/00. The CINMS and the California Dept of Fish & Game are seeking facilitation services for a joint federal/state process to consider establishing marine ecological reserves in the CINMS. The CINMS Sanctuary Advisory Council (SAC) is the foundation for the proposed Working Group process. Contractor must possess demonstrated experience and effectiveness in facilitating complex multi-stakeholder natural resource management issues, as well as familiarity with the local maritime community and the south-central coast region of California. Contractor will take the lead role in providing planning and facilitation for eight monthly all-day meetings in the Santa Barbara and Ventura area, and two community workshops.
