COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 9,1999 PSA#2405

A -- KITTYHAWK AOC WEEK INTRODUCTION: The Air Force Research Laboratory Sensors Directorate (AFRL/SN) and the Kittyhawk Chapter of the Association of Old Crows (AOC) will jointly sponsor the annual "Kittyhawk AOC Week" on 15-17 September 1999 at the AFIT Auditorium (Bldg 642), Area B, Wright-Patterson AFB OH. Kicking off the technical activities on Wednesday, 15 September, the Sensors Directorate will host a Customer Review. Brig Gen Nielsen, the new Aeronautical Systems Center Vice Commander (ASC/CV), will be the Keynote Speaker. The agenda will include briefings by ACC, AMC, AFSOC, and AFSPC on future EW requirements. In addition, an Electronic Warfare Operational Shortfall Study (EWOSS) update will also be provided. On Thursday, 16 September, the Kittyhawk AOC will host a Briefing to Industry (BTI). The program will feature New Start/Roadmap briefings by AFRL/SN. This is the "first and only" opportunity to hear these briefings this year! In addition to a special topic presentation by the AFRL Information Directorate (AFRL/IF), the day will also feature selected DoD program briefings, to include EW PGM/DSM programs, EW Roadmap, EO-IRCM Integrated Technology Thrust, UCAV, and Space EW and Information Operations. On Friday, 17 September, the Electronic Warfare Integration Office (ASC/EW) and the 412TW/EW will host their semi-annual Test Resource Users' Conference (TRUC). The conference will focus on EW test and evaluation requirements and capabilities. This is an opportunity to find out what's coming down the pike in the test community and provide needed industry input. Today's top-level Government military and civilian leaders will give presentations on all three days. This is a "three for the price of one" event. Registration fee for industry participants for all three days is $175 (AOC members) and $200 (non-AOC members). Government personnel attending will be charged no fee. The classification of the conference is SECRET NOFORN. Clearly, this conference is a "must attend" for anyone involved in EW and information superiority. For more conference details and registration information, visit the Kittyhawk AOC Website at http://www.kittyhawkaoc.org or call the Old Crow Hotline at (937)320-4164.
