Replace Military Family Housing (Phase 6) (72 Units) Minot AFB, North
Dakota. This proposed contract is Unrestricted. JOB DESCRIPTION: The
project consists of the demolition of 72 existing family housing units
which include asbestos and lead base paint abatement. Additionally,
site restoration and the construction of 72 three and four bedroom
units is required. The design includes, but is not limited to, site
grading, new utility systems and roads, electric heating and cooling,
energy efficient lighting and appliances, dual-pane energy efficient
windows, hard wired smoke detectors, ground fault receptacles, arctic
room landscaping, recreation areas, single-car garages, driveways,
street lighting, utility services, storm drainage, and walks. SIC CODE:
This procurement will be conducted under SIC code:1522 The size
standard for this SIC code is: $17,000,000.00. DESIGN/BUILD: This is a
design/build project; the offeror chosen will complete the design and
construct the facility. REQUEST FORPROPOSAL:The acquisition method is
negotiated procurement. A technical and cost proposal will be
required. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of firm
that represents the best value to the Government. Large businesses
competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause
regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the
work it intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for
subcontracting are 62.0% for small business, 10% for small
disadvantaged business, and 5% for small business/woman-owned. A firm
that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to
support goals submitted. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000.00 and
