Stabilization of an erosion site on the James River (known as Tahuka) with riprap revetment. Site is located south of Montpelier, North Dakota, in Stutsman County. Principal components of the work include: (1) construction of approximately 282 linear feet of riprap revetment at one site on the east side of the James River. The revetment will be constructed of dumped and shaped riprap. The contractor will excavate the key trench to the required depth and furnish, haul, and place the riprap; and (2) some shaping of the existing bank will be required to accommodate the placement of the riprap. Riprap shall be placed to a minimum thickness of 18 inches. Any excavated earthwork may be placed on the existing bank to serve as bedding for the placement of the riprap.
