The purpose of this solicitation is to procure design and construction services necessary to replace the pool filters and supporting systems in accordance with the health and sanitation requirements of the Naval Station and the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health, as well as Federal and State requirements, complete and ready for use. The scope of work includes demolition, design and engineering investigations, installation, and incidental related work. The location of the work is Building 3279B, Naval Station, San Diego, California. Design shall include preparation of as-built/record drawings. The contract performance period is 120 calendar days, with construction and installation of new pool filter systems and equipment not to exceed 30 continuous calendar days on site. First available date for on-site construction to begin is 17 November 1999, and construction must continue until complete. No phased construction will be allowed. See part 1 of the RFP for schedule site visit/pre-proposal conference. The SIC code for this procurement is 1799 and the annual size standard is $7.0 million. This is a Firm Fixed Price contract. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
