Air enters the engine at the Fan Rotor and Fan Stator area, and at sea level, approximately 338 lbs. of air per second enters the fan at maximum speed. Approximately 290 lbs. is bypassed to the core section and on to the fan nozzle. The core engine uses the remainder.
