The synopsis stated that "NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for the acquisition of up to 39,000 individual 4 mm x 4 mm x 2 mm CdZnTe/CdTe detectors or up to 625 large ( 33.4 mm x 33.4 mm x 2 mm) CdZnTe/CdTe pixel detectors with an 8 x 8 array of 4 mm square pixels on a 4.2 mm pitch.".
